The Perplexing Pink Permed Principal
-One look around Caddo Schools lately and you might be inclined to think the dress code has been relaxed a bit too far. Principals with pink hair?!?! What's that all about?
It was all for a good cause and all in good fun to help students to make it successfully through one of the biggest hurdles in their academic life-State Testing. Principal Shannon Wall promised his students at Donnie Bickham some time ago that if they would just improve their 8th grade test scores (an increase to 56% basic or above) from last year, he'd spend the night on the school roof. Now you may be wondering at this point where the pink hair comes in. Well it turns out the 8th graders at Donnie Bickham weren't done showing out (academically speaking). This year a full nine percent more of the 8th graders scored "basic or above" according to the state of Louisiana's standardized tests. That meant principal Wall had to do something even wilder! He had to shave his head into a pink Mohawk! And shave he did because as principal wall found out, students at Donnie Bickham are not to be underestimated!
