Barret Becomes Only Paideia Partner School for State of Louisiana

Paideia was a relatively new concept for education in our part of the country. Introduced to Caddo as part of Vision 2020, Paideia is an educational concept that reverses the roles of education by putting students in charge of their learning while teaching teachers to facilitate that learning. It may sound like a radical concept, but one look at Barret’s test scores and you’ll be a believer too! We’re proud of this inner city school which is making improvements across the board in a BIG WAY! After three years of assimilating the new concept Barret has stepped out as a leader for the state by becoming the first full-fledged Paideia Partner school for Louisiana. That means that people from around the state, country, and possibly world will come right here to Shreveport to see what Barret is doing right and to see how they can implement our best practices at their own educational institutions.
